Greetings to you in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord! I am writing to let you know about the Half-Million Mobilization on the USA/Canada Region. This is a crucial time in our world and in the Church of the Nazarene. We must turn to God for His leading. We must seek His will in prayer together. The USA/Canada Region, through Dr. Stan Reeder’s leadership, has called for a focused time of prayer across the region. SDMI is committed to supporting this initiative. Let’s unite as a region and affirm God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:13, “you will find me when you seek me with all your heart.” We are encouraging everyone to participate! The entire Church of the Nazarene, five hundred thousand people in the United States and Canada, will rally together in prayer for our churches’ hope and our future (Jeremiah 29:11). This is a call to pray for the future of our denomination and our local churches in Canada and the United States. Will you pray for the protection, direction, and revelation of the Spirit on our ministries together? Our desire is to see renewal and a resurgence of the Church of the Nazarene and holiness message in our people. This call to prayer will include responding through a special prayer response/survey. Through this survey, Dr. Reeder’s team will gather feedback on what the Spirit says to the church during this special season. The survey is meant to be taken one or more times after you hear from the Spirit in your time of prayer. The prayer response is short and can be completed in 5 minutes. There is a designated day of prayer each month beginning in January and continuing through Sunday, May 1st, where the entire church will pray together in our morning services. On January 11, our 50 senior regional leaders began to pray. On February 1, our 500 leaders across every district are asked to pray. On March 1, we are calling on 5,000 local church lead pastors to pray. During local church board meetings in April, we are calling on 50,000 local church board members and ministry leaders to pray. Then, on Sunday, May 1, the entire Church of the Nazarene, 500,000 people across the USA/Canada Region, will be called on to pray. From May 1 through Pentecost Sunday (June 5), there will be a daily time of prayer using a Praying Our Way to Pentecost prayer journal. The prayer journal is available online and in print. Please plan to follow along and anticipate a great outpouring of the Spirit during this season. The dream with Half-Million Mobilization is that we will experience unity as a region, we will hear from the Spirit in our times of prayer, we will share with each other what the Spirit is saying, and we will discover God’s plans for our hope and future.
