SDMI Grow Conference

Canada Central SDMI has decided to cancel our annual GROW Conference planned for May 2020. This is due to the global COVID-19 pandemic we are all currently experiencing.  

However, we believe that now is an especially crucial time for church leaders and members to feel supported as we all navigate ministry in a new way.  

We recognize that time is of the essence, so we have put together an interactive 75 minute GROW experience online that is scheduled to go live this Sunday, April 5 at 7:30pm. 

We will be hosting four breakout sessions:

1. Children's Ministry & Discipleship at Home 
   • This workshop will be co-hosted by Amy Csoke and Wendy Rampold and is for kids' ministry leaders AND parents. There will be ideas for leaders if they want to still minister to kids. There will also be resources to empower parents in how to disciple their children from home while not adding to their workload. 

       

2. Ways to Minister to Youth Online 
   • Nick Dookheran will lead youth ministry leaders in how to run a youth ministry while practicing social distancing. 

       

3. Understanding Youth Culture 
   • Canada Central NYI is "bringing in" in AXIS ministry presenter, Kelli Rankin, for this workshop. This workshop is targeted to parents of teenagers but is also valuable for youth leaders and pastors. 

       

4. Bible Study & Prayer Meeting 
   • This workshop will be led by Pastor Jani Csoke and will provide ministry leaders with a variety of ways to still have meaningful connection with one another even though we cannot meet in person. 

       

All of these workshops will be LIVE. This means that you can interact in the chat and ask questions or share ideas. Your presenters will also be able to share their screens with you so that you can see how to set up online accounts (if applicable) etc.  

Canada Central SDMI and NYI want to provide this to you for FREE.  We know this is valuable and do not want finances to be a barrier for anyone to attend.  

We are still asking that people register online so that we can set up our virtual breakout rooms and give our presenters an idea of how many people will be attending. Registration will be open until the event ends.  The link/instructions to join is below.    We hope to see you there!
