Dear Church Family,
In response to COVID-19 and in order to provide a safe place for our church family to gather, we are taking as many precautions as possible to prevent the spread of germs. We would encourage anyone entering our building to use wisdom and practice good hygiene [ie. frequent hand washing, not touching their face, using Kleenex, coughing into their elbow, etc].
Here are some of the procedures we have implemented to help protect the health of everyone at Rosewood:
We are encouraging everyone to refrain from shaking hands and hugging, instead offering a friendly wave to say hello on Sundays.
We have arranged for all high-touch areas to be sanitized frequently by our staff/volunteers.
Hand sanitizer will be offered to each child before snack time.
Hand Sanitizing Stations
Convenient stations will be located throughout the building to help protect you.
We have increased our sanitization procedures to ensure that we are cleaning and disinfecting objects and surfaces regularly. All high touch areas [doors, tables, etc] will be frequently wiped down by our staff/volunteers.
Offering Plates will be placed at the front of the sanctuary for people to drop off their tithes/offering during the service. Offerings can also be made online via CanadaHelps.org
We will NOT be serving breakfast before Sunday school for now until further notice.
Only the sealed Fellowship Cups with the pre-packaged juice and wafer will be served at future Communion Services.
If you are feeling unwell, we would encourage you to stay home and follow the directions of health officials. You can listen to our weekly sermons online. We are also working to have the videos uploaded to our YouTube channel as well.
For now, all weekly programs at Rosewood will continue to run as scheduled.
We will continue to monitor the situation based on government recommendations and update as needed. If you are unable to carryout your regular ministry, please contact the appropriate ministry leader to make alternate plans.
Small Groups will continue at the discretion of the host/facilitators. Please contact your small group leader directly to find out about any cancellations.
Preteen & Youth March Break Retreat
Following many discussions and prayer, it was decided that our Preteens and Youth will not attend the March Break retreat out of concern for their safety. Parents who have registered and paid the deposit will be able to get it returned to them from Pastor Bria. Many of you also gave generously to support the youth through love offerings and the Worship Concert. The funds received for the retreat will be held for a future youth retreat.
Be encouraged Church Family that there is no need to fear. We wisely take the necessary precautions to help protect our community, but we place all of our trust in God knowing that He is in control! “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid for I am your God.” Isaiah 41:10
We invite you to join us in praying for those who have been affected by this virus around the world and for our the Health Care Professionals and World Leaders who are leading through this difficult season. “…Pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority…” 1 Timothy 2:1-2
Blessings on you,
Rev. Dr. Lisa Outar Associate Minister
